WRCOG HERO

The HERO Program allows home and business owners to finance energy efficiency and water conservation improvements through low-interest financing that would be repaid over time through annual property tax payments. Western Riverside Energy Leader Partnership

This Program is a local government partnership that includes participating jurisdictions in the Western Riverside Council of Governments' subregion and the Southern California Edison (SCE) service area. The Program is designed to optimize opportunities for the participating jurisdictions to achieve both short-and long-term sustainable energy savings, reduce utility bills, and enhance the level of comfort in municipal and commercial buildings as well as homes. The Partnership will help promote energy efficiency by increasing community awareness and participation in energy efficiency, demand response and self-generation programs.

With the success of WRCOG's HERO Program, WRCOG and its partners are offering jurisdictions throughout California the ability to participate in California HERO.
