Executive Committee Meeting Re-cap TUMF Program update
WRCOG Program for energy efficiency continues to gain momentum: Responding to state legislation (AB 811) allowing property owners to finance the installation of energy efficient improvements to their homes and small businesses, in February 2009, the Executive Committee directed staff to pursue the implementation of a regional Program that would be administered by WRCOG. At its August meeting, the Executive Committee authorized staff to pursue a trip to Washington, D.C. to request support for the Program and seek opportunities for Program funding. Executive Committee members and staff traveled to Washington, D.C. on September 28 – 30, meeting with Congressional representatives Ken Calvert, Mary Bono-Mack, Jerry Lewis, and Darrell Issa. Meetings were also held with representatives from Senator Diane Feinstein’s office, Department of Energy staff, Environmental Protection Agency staff, and staff from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. ![]()
